Information about your Peel
Chemical Skin Peels involve applying a non-toxic chemical solution to the skin that removes the top layer of dead skin cells and encourages the regrowth of new ones, revealing softer, smoother skin beneath.
Research evidence has demonstrated benefits include anti-ageing properties, brighter even skin texture, reduction of pigmentation in the skin, hydration, stimulation of collagen and reduction in the appearance of scarring.
To achieve maximum results, skin experts recommend a course of skin peels depending on your skin type, tone and condition.
Below describes the steps and products involved to complete your peel.
Step 1 – NeoStrata Facial Cleanser
A gentle cleanse of the skin to remove and makeup or impurities, providing anti-ageing benefits ideal for sensitive skin.
Step 2 – NeoStrata Balancing Pre Peel Cleanser
Helps to prepare the skin by removing sebum and balancing skin PH for optimal delivery of the peel.
Step 3 – NeoStrata 30% Clarfying Mandelic or 30% Brightening citric Peel
Choose either Brightening or Clarifying peel depending which applies to your skin tone. This is then applied to the skin for 2 mins using a fan brush.
Step 4 – NeoStrata 20%,35%,50%,70% Glycolic Peel
Glycolic peels ideal for clients with multiple skin rejuvenation concerns including rough texture, fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, blemishes ect. Starting from lowest strength peel working up higher according to how you skin reacts to the peel. Glycolic is left on for up to 5 minutes.
Step 5– Neutralise
Application of a foaming sodium bicarbonate rapidly neutralises the unbuffered acids in the NeoStrata Peels. It provides precise control of peel timing to ensure safe, predictable treatment results.
Step 6 – NeoStrata Bionic Lotion
An anti-ageing moisturiser is applied to the skin. The Polyhydroxy acids (PHAs) in this formulation act as humectants, attracting and binding moisture to the skin.
